I've just had the BEST morning EVER!!!! I had my first bike ride!! Mummy, Daddy and I all set off mid-morning when it was sunny but not too hot. Daddy pushed me in the jogger while Mummy rode her bike, so I got to see what I was in for. I couldn't wait to get on it - I didn't even mind the helmet with ducks on it. When we got to the park they put me in my seat and away we went. Whoopee! It was such fun. We zigzagged around the park and Daddy ran around. He chased us, then we chased him - would you believe that he was faster than us? I was pushing the best I could - Mummy just wasn't pulling her weight. I worked out that I could tap her on the back if I wanted her to go faster. So I tapped her a lot, but she seemed to max out fairly quickly. I'll just have to get her out more often so she gets faster.

Then we all had lunch on the balcony. I also had brekky out there this morning - very nice. I could watch the birds and the sky and feel the wind in my face. The sky is really amazing. It keeps changing - normally it's blue with white fluffy patches during the day. Then it gets darker until it's nearly black with speckles all over it. Last night when the sun went down, the fluffy patches turned the most beautiful colours and shapes. Each time I turned away, then looked back again it looked different. Mummy held me on the balcony while we watched the sky changing - I was really engrossed - it was beautiful.

I'm getting really good at climbing now. I can climb up onto the brown chair in the lounge all by myself, and up the back of it too. It's great for a good view out onto the balcony. The parents have been putting it in the doorway to the balcony to stop me getting out there. I've tried squeezing myself throught the gaps either side of it but discovered that my head just doesn't squash like my tummy does. So I'm prepping myself to go over the top of it. I can climb up it easily but just have to work out how to get down the other side. It's a bit of a drop and it looks hard down there. I'll give it a go when the biggies aren't watching.

Speaking of climbing, Uncle Adam came over a couple of days ago and I can now successfully navigate my way over his tummy. I couldn't do that a month ago so I'm making progress.

Daddy came back from overseas two days ago. Yay Daddy! Lots of prezzies! He hasn't given them all to me yet but I caught a glimpse of them when he was showing Mummy. Guess I have to wait until my birthday (18 days away and counting).

I went in to a hospital with Mummy to visit Linda and her new baby Gabrielle. She's very beautiful, and very tiny. But apparently I was smaller than her when I was born. Can't believe that - nor could Mummy. Congratulations to Linda, Ian and Alexandra on Gabrielle's arrival.

Aunty Jo came for a sleep-over at the weekend so I got lots of extra cuddles. AND she let me play with her keys, so I made the most of that. I was able to stand on her bag and reach up to the table to grab things normally out of reach. Then we went out for brekky to Brunetti's on Sunday and ran in to Nan and Grandad, so more cuddles. All up a great weekend.

I'm finally over my cold so Mum doesn't have to come at me with a hanky and smear goop all over my face anymore. Another tooth came through so I now have six all up. Four on the top and two on the bottom. I can bite really well now - I just have to make sure I don't bite off too much. I've been eating cheese and if I get too much in my mouth it all clags up and sticks to the top of my mouth. Then it's really hard to shift. I have to drink some water and swish it around. Then I get all this backwash in my water bottle...oh, okay, too much information.

Today Oliver turned one - Happy Birthday Oliver!! We all went over for a party in the afternoon and played around the grass in the back yard. There were lots of yummy things to munch on and I had some biscuits and a ham and cheese sandwich. Actually there was ham in it when I started but I don't think it was me who ate it. There was a delicious looking birthday cake but Mummy wouldn't let me have any. I tried to get some from Sandra and then from Michelle but they were on Mummys side. What kind of party is it when you aren't allowed to eat the birthday cake? So naturally I threw a tantrum. She just wanted it all to herself (it was flourless chocolate cake).

I've been patrolling the house looking for things to make the most noise with. The wooden door stop against the bath is a good one, along with all the ducks. I can press the buttons on the phone and get lots of different noises from that - including Mummy and Daddy yelling "don't do that!" But my fave of the moment is opening and closing the toilet seat. It makes a great banging sound and our neighbour from downstairs, May, even heard it so it must be good. Only problem is when someone is sitting on it. This morning I wanted to play with the lid but Mummy was in the way, so I tried to close it anyway but she didn't fit under it. I tried to push her off but that only resulted in me being moved away from the scene rather promptly...

I crawled through the coffee table successfully today. By "successfully" I mean in one side and out the other without too much damage to the top of my head - see the new photos.

We went to Frankston yesterday to visit Great Grandad and Great Grandma. We went to this swanky new hospital - much nicer than the one that I made my entrance in! (I remember more than you think! I know I looked asleep...) Get well soon G.Grandad!

Just call me Parsley Boy. We came back from Cindie, Andrew and Harrys place with a huge bunch of leafy, green parsley. I've eaten it for breakfast, lunch and dinner ever since. Okay, just lunch and dinner. It is very yummy though - and chock full of vitamins as Mummy likes to tell me. I got to eat some yoghurt for the first time today. Mmmm - why haven't I had that before? Mum's been holding out on me. I think she just didn't want to share it, that's it.

Daddy bought me a trolley to walk with. It's poo brown but Aunty Jo's going to repaint it for me. Not that I really care actually - I can walk really well with it now. And I fit into it well too. Daddy ran me around the house while I was lying in it - we had GREAT fun!!

I can now climb up onto the lounge chair without any help. Hee hee - there lie many possibilities for mischief with my newfound climbing prowess.

I had my first experience in a sandpit today. Mummy and I went to visit Harry and Cindie and they had a sandpit in the vegie patch. So we played amongst all these cabbages and parsley. Actually Harry and I got bored with the sandpit and both got out to play around the vegies. Harry liked the snowpeas but I preferred the date and apricot cake Mummy was eating. I also met some chickens - they were really funny. I had one herded in the corner of the yard but it got a bit antsy and ran away from me. But Xena the dog liked me and gave me a big lick on the face. A bit like what I do to Mummy and Daddy - it's called kissing I think.

I had a great time at playgroup yesterday. We went to Bethanys place and played with all the toys she got for her first birthday. There was a wheeley trolley thing that we all took turns to walk with. Oliver did really well and Bethany was an old pro - I was watching so I could practice at home. Then Gabriel stunned us all by taking a couple of steps with no hands!! Wow! Very Cool!

I went to Bethany's first birthday party on the weekend. Happy Birthday Bethany!! I had good fun, a few of my friends were there so we had a good play together. Poor Bethany though - she got passed from relative to friend to relative when she really wanted to get down and play with us (me) and open her prezzies. She said it would be the same at my first birthday too so I'd better be prepared. Her Mummy and Daddy got her this really cool swing that I had a go in (see photo). I think one of those would go really well over the balcony (hint, hint, someone, anyone...?).

I played a trick on Mummy a few days ago. Well I thought it would be fun and didn't think it would escalate into a monumental drama. I hid her keys. They have always been out of bounds so when I found them on the floor I thought I'd make the most of the opportunity and hide them for later. First off Mum stomped around, then Daddy stomped around and between them they searched everywhere about five times - except my hiding place of course. There they stayed for two days before Daddy accidentally found them. Wedged between the computer and the couch under the computer table. I was hoping to be able to let myself out of the house and play downstairs when they weren't looking (with a bit of help from Spanky and Bobo).

What's with all this wine? I'm going to be a wine connoisseur before I'm legally old enough to drink! Chardonnay yesterday, sherry the day before, sparkly AND sauvignon blanc tonight! Have you ever tasted wine mixed with milk? I don't recommend it.

I had a great time at playgroup yesterday. I actually fell asleep on the way and slept in Charlies room for a bit before joining my friends. Everyone was very lively and happy. Donna put some music on and we had a bit of a boogie. Well, I thought I could boogie but that was before I saw Oliver dancing. Boy can he move! What a groover! The side-to-side-shimmey was his specialty. I think I'll ask him for lessons next week.

On the sleep front, I'm sleeping a bit easier now. And it wasn't three new teeth, it was FOUR! Any wonder I had difficulties! I only woke a couple of times last night and didn't take too long to get back to sleep. Which is a lot better than a few days ago when they let me cry for an HOUR before I bored myself to sleep. I'm a bit worried about tonight though, because I broke my night llght and it's very dark in there. I won't be able to see the monsters when they creep out from under my bed...
