'Mum, get away, I don't want you.' (Said with all possible niceness) Tuesday, August 10, 2004
'Muuuuuum, I need some wine.' 'No you don't.' 'Daaaaad, I need some wine.' 'No you don't.' 'Yes I do!' Monday, August 09, 2004
Ooh, I got into trouble today. I climbed behind the TV to get to the toys hidden there and was standing on the little table that the TV sits on. It's a bit squashy behind there so I had to lean on the TV a bit and I must have leant a bit hard because it fell off the stand and onto the coffee table and then the floor. Daddy roared at me and straight away I said, 'Sorry, Daddy, sorry, Daddy,' and jigged up and down a bit because I was feeling pretty scared right about then. I started crying and held out my arms for a cuddle, but Mum and Dad didn't look like they wanted to cuddle me back. Mum took me to their bedroom to wait while they assessed the damage in the loungeroom. I was really mortified. It really was an accident, and I've only got vague memories of maybe being told once or twice not to go there. Maybe it was more than that. Mum came to get me and took me to the loungeroom where she pointed out the damage. There is a hole in the side of the TV, scratches along the edge of the TV stand, and dented bits along the edge of the coffee table which is all wobbly now. Oops. I wasn't allowed to watch TV for the rest of the day. Luckily Mum, Jaz and I went out to Billy Lids indoor playcentre for a play with Gabe and Byron, so I didn't get too bored at home. We stayed there for most of the afternoon and got home just in time for dinner and a bath. I hope the TV works.
